Every year myself and a group of  friends from Kerry head for the Electric picnic in Stradbally, County Laois.  One of the main highlights of the weekend is the pit stop in Country Choice Nenagh. The warm hospitality shown by the hosts Peter and Mary Ward make it well worth while making a detour from the main Dublin road. Their love of food is inspirational, and customer service something many businesses could learn from. The shop is an Aladdins cave of small food producers top quality products, where the staff will let you taste before you buy and tell you where everything came from (try that at your local Tesco). In the restaurant I met Peter. "What`s good" I asked,  "The slow cooked Rib eye bap (from his own farm) should be ready soon", says Peter, easily the best sandwich I have ever eaten, melt in your mouth beef, garlic dressing,  rocket, Organic Tomato, simple, perfect, as is all the food in Country Choice, Good ingredients, well seasoned and cooked, nothing too fancy, just real good food. I am looking forward to next year already!
